Services

Work with a select group of determined, passionate entrepreneurs as equal partners from Day 1 in the “equity to exit journey” by providing funding, expertise, experience and integrity above reproach.

Capital Funding

There is never a “one size fits all” business strategy for a company whether it is a global 500 corporation or a garage startup. Founders and their companies are a unique blend of competencies, experiences, leadership and the set of rules established for conducting business (i.e., the pillars of the company). From the day we are engaged, we will provide pragmatic advice and guidance in formulating your business strategy around the three pillars. We work in concert with the leadership in executing the business strategy, assist in developing investor presentations, coaching management on presentation techniques and providing mentoring to client personnel. We have a vested interest in sharing your vision, goals and passion for success.

As an execution partner, we have access to a vast network of experts in areas such as energy, consumer products, technology, media, Internet of Things (IOT), data science and analytics, to provide subject matter expertise as needed by clients as well as leveraging their relationships to facilitate introductions with new customers and partners.

Strategy & Execution Partnership

One of the most difficult problems entrepreneurs face when they launch a company is funding. Even if the product or service is viewed as unique or solves an unfulfilled market need or is reconceived to the extent it overtakes existing products (for example, the iPhone), raising capital is difficult and arduous. Hyperblue has a network of investors able to address the needs of our select group of portfolio clients ranging from angel investor (seed rounds); super angels (A/B/C rounds); venture capital firms, family offices and micro-funds.

Equity to Exit RoadMap

In conjunction with the client, Hyperblue's network of domain experts and sources of capital, our firm creates a pragmatic roadmap of the tasks required to successfully exit the company. For example, the tasks may include, but not be limited to:

  • Building / refining the business strategy
  • Determining alternative exit strategies: acquisition, merger, build the company for future generations
  • Determining the most appropriate financial vehicle for capital funding: equity, debt, S.A.F.E. (simple agreement for future equity)
  • Determining the governance model of the business
  • Assisting in preparing the financials, enhancing the pitch deck, presentation training
  • Mentoring the client team throughout the journey
  • Assisting in preparing the “data room” for Due Diligence

John and I have been long time colleagues dating back to when we were both partners with Arthur Young & Company. We have undertaken many joint projects over the years including taking a startup energy company into the public marketplace.
